The Art of the Cognitive Interweave

Training Description

Shapiro details the use of the Cognitive Interweave as an essential part of the Standard EMDR Protocol. Learn how an understanding of the different types of memory and how they fit into the AIP model allows for more effective and strategic use of Cognitive Interweaves.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to define and discern between Declarative and Procedural Memory.
2. Participants will be able to describe 2 specific Cognitive Interweaves to target Declarative Memory.
3. Participants will be able to describe 2 specific Cognitive Interweaves to target Procedural Memory.
4. Participants will learn strategies to increase their level of confidence using Cognitive Interweaves.
